Background and Experience

Throughout her career, Katherine has conducted strategic and tactical research for a variety of complex B2B and B2C products. The diversity of these products enabled Katherine to work with older adults, industry professionals, and young children. This has empowered her to understand the motivations, goals, and needs of people from many different walks of life.

Katherine is skilled in conducting strategic research, analyzing qualitative and quantitative data, optimizing navigation design and information architecture, facilitating workshops, and designing engaging content. She specializes in balancing rigor with agility so that research quality is maintained even on short timelines.

Katherine is passionate about making technology more accessible and user-friendly for older adults. She actively seeks opportunities to promote the longevity, safety, and wellness of older adults in her work. Her passion for gerontology started with her experience working as a caregiver for a 97-year-old woman who lived alone at home. Over 3 years, she learned a lot about the challenges that older adults face as they age and realized the importance of empowering them to stay engaged and feel a sense of agency. She believes that ensuring that technology is accessible to older adults makes for a world that is more inclusive and accessible for everyone.
